The rise in gas prices made it necessary to create a support program for the purchase of this input: the Vale-g\u00e1s 2022 program. Check it out below.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>

Cooking gas is a fundamental item for all Brazilian families.<\/p>\n<\/div>

\n

But because the price was rising so much, a federal government social program was necessary to relieve this expense in the pockets of the poorest Brazilians.<\/p>\n<\/div>

The social program known as Vale-g\u00e1s aims to help the low-income population in the purchase of cooking gas.<\/p>\n<\/div>

\n

This help is extremely important, given that many families were already resorting to old methods of cooking, such as alcohol stoves.<\/p>\n<\/div>

\n

The program will pay the equivalent of 50% of the average price of a 13 kg gas cylinder on a bimonthly basis, which was initially set at R$ 52 per family.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Why do cooking gas prices keep rising?<\/h2>\n<\/div>
\n

This recurring increase is due to Petrobras' new pricing policy.<\/p>\n<\/div>

\n

This means that the company can carry out readjustments in gas prices without defined periodicity, mainly following oil and dollar quotations.<\/p>\n<\/div>

\n

Therefore, these values are corrected weekly, and can be passed on to the final consumer if the government understands that they are out of date.<\/p>\n<\/div>

As a result, each time the cylinder in a house runs out and the consumer goes to buy a new one, the price is higher.<\/p>\n<\/div>
