In addition to the IPVA and the Vehicle Licensing Fee, the DPVAT comes with them every year.<\/p>\n<\/div>

However, 2022 started with good news.<\/p>\n<\/div>

This is because despite the increase in the IPVA 2022, the DPVAT will be zeroed for the current year.<\/p>\n<\/div>

What is DPVAT?<\/h2>\n<\/div>
\n

The DPVAT (Personal Damage by Land Motor Vehicles), is the mandatory insurance for personal injuries caused by vehicles, created in 1974.<\/p>\n<\/div>

\n

It is responsible for the comprehensive coverage of all victims of traffic accidents registered in the national territory.<\/p>\n<\/div>

\n

The DPVAT has always been paid together with the first installment or with the single installment of the IPVA.<\/p>\n<\/div>

\n

For vehicles exempt from IPVA, it was paid together with the annual licensing fee.<\/p>\n<\/div>

DPVAT is no longer managed by Seguradora L\u00edder<\/h2>\n<\/div>

The DPVAT insurance was managed by the Lider insurance company until December 31, 2020.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>
\n

Seguradora L\u00edder was created by the Conselho Nacional de Seguros Privados (CNSP) as a consortium to administer DPVAT as a specialized insurance company.<\/p>\n<\/div>

\n

Its foundation was on 12\/07\/2007 and for 13 years it acted as DPVAT insurance administrator.<\/p>\n<\/div>

\n

However, on 11\/24\/2020, the Consortium was dissolved by the Assembly, resulting in the termination of subscriptions by Seguradora L\u00edder, as of 01\/01\/2021.<\/p>\n<\/div>

\n

Since then, DPVAT funds have been managed by FDPVAT, a Caixa Econ\u00f4mica Federal fund.<\/p>\n<\/div>

What are the benefits of DPVAT?<\/h2>\n<\/div>

DPVAT offers three types of coverage:<\/p>\n<\/div>

\n
