The Auxílio Brasil program is an income transfer program that aims to directly and indirectly help families in poverty and extreme poverty.

It is managed by the Ministry of Citizenship, and Caixa is responsible for managing payments to families benefiting from the program.

Families are considered to be in poverty if they have a per capita family income of 0 to R$ 100.00.

Families in extreme poverty are those with a per capita family income of R$ 100.01 to R$ 200.00.

How to sign up for Auxílio Brasil

The requirements for enrolling in the program are:

  • Be registered, by the city hall, in the Single Registry of Social Programs of the Federal Government;
  • Be selected by the Ministry of Citizenship;
  • Being in poverty or extreme poverty. Families living in poverty must include pregnant women, nursing mothers (breastfeeding mothers), children, adolescents or young people between 0 and 21 years of age.

What is the value of Auxílio Brasil and how to receive it

Brazil Aid Calendar 2022 has already been released.

Initially, the value defined for Auxílio Brasil was R$ 400.00, the minimum amount to be received by families.

Receiving amounts can be done in two ways:

  • Social Digital Savings Account: this is an account opened automatically by Caixa, which can be accessed through the Caixa Tem application. Through it, it is possible to make payments, transfers and withdrawals with the virtual debit card.
  • Caixa Fácil savings account: it is a simplified savings account with a maximum monthly turnover of R$ 3,000.00. Values can be withdrawn using the magnetic card.
