What is GOV.BR
GOV.BR is the Brazilian federal government portal that started operating on July 31, 2019.
It was established by presidential decree on April 11, 2019, setting December 31, 2020 as the deadline for all bodies and entities of the federal public administration to transfer their email addresses to it.
Around 1600 government websites were integrated into this platform, generating annual savings of around R$ 50 million in maintaining these portals.
What is the GOV.BR account used for?
The main idea of this portal was to give citizens the possibility to create one account and through a single password able to access various government digital services.
By registering your gov.br account, the government will be able to identify you when requesting a digital public service.
Every public service requires a security level different. Thus, to access some services you will only need your basic data. To access others, you will need an account with a higher level of security, such as silver and gold accounts.
Where can I use my GOV.BR account
The variety of services covered by the GOV.BR registry is enormous.

- ENEM, SISU, FIES and PROUNI;
- Digital Traffic Card;
- Digital Work Card;
- Portal MY INSS;
- Federal Revenue Services;
- Boards of Trade;
- eSocial Portal;

How to create your GOV.BR account
The GOV.BR account is very simple to create, and all steps can be done through the computer or cell phone.
If you are registering on a computer, the procedure is as follows:
- Access the website https://www.gov.br/governodigital/pt-br/conta-gov-br;
- Click on “Create GOV.BR account”;
- Enter your CPF to start the registration;
- Follow the instructions on the page and enter the requested data;
- Register a password.
On mobile, it works like this:
- Download the “GOV.BR” app, available for Android and IOS;
- Read the application's initial instructions and click “Next”;
- On the home screen, tap on “Entrar com GOV.BR”;
- Access the website https://www.gov.br/governodigital/pt-br/conta-gov-br;
- Click on “Create GOV.BR account”;
- Enter your CPF to start the registration;
- Follow the instructions on the page and enter the requested data;
- Register a password.
That's it, you are already registered and able to use your GOV.BR account wherever necessary.
