This makes public tenders attract the attention of these people again.
The 2022 Demographic Census is just around the corner, and with it job opportunities for those who are unemployed.
With the announcement published on December 15, the IBGE contest had its registrations extended until January 21, 2022.
What is IBGE and what is its function
The IBGE - Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics, is the main provider of data and information in the country.
It meets the needs of the most diverse segments of civil society, as well as federal, state and municipal government bodies.
The performance of IBGE can be defined in some areas:
- Social and Demographic Statistics: the main actions of the IBGE take place here through the Demographic Census
Population Count, the Continuous National Household Sample Survey – PNAD, the Household Budget Survey – POF and the Civil Registry Statistics Survey and the National Basic Sanitation Survey – PNSB; - Economic Statistics: research in the areas of Agriculture and Livestock, Industry, Construction, Commerce, Services, Prices and Costs and National Accounts stands out;
- Geoscience Information: here we have Geographical, Topographical and Municipal Mapping, Territorial Structures, Natural Resources and Environment and Geographical Information;
- Dissemination: The provision of information by the IBGE is carried out through its national dissemination network, with service areas in all capitals and in the main cities, offering one of the largest specialized collections of statistical and geographic information in the country. This collection consists of printed and electronic publications, as well as databases.
Its main functions are:
- Production and analysis of statistical information;
- Coordination and consolidation of statistical information;
- Production and analysis of geographic information;
- Coordination and consolidation of geographic information;
- Structuring and implementation of an environmental information system;
- Documentation and dissemination of information;
- Coordination of national statistical and cartographic systems.
The IBGE is a federal public administration entity, linked to the Ministry of Economy, which has four boards and two other central bodies.
So that its activities can cover the entire national territory, IBGE has a national research and dissemination network, composed of:
- 27 State Units (26 in state capitals and 1 in the Federal District);
- 27 Information Dissemination Supervisions (26 in the capitals and 1 in the Federal District);
- 564 Data Collection Agencies in the main municipalities.
The IBGE also maintains the Roncador Ecological Reserve, located 35 kilometers south of Brasília.
What are the vacancies and salaries of the IBGE 2022 contest?
The contest will offer 206,891 temporary vacancies across the country, for the following positions:
- basic levell: enumerator (183,021 vacancies);
- Middle level: supervising census agent (18,420 vacancies) and municipal census agent (5,450 vacancies).
Salaries and benefits for each role will be:
- Supervisory Agent: R$ 1,700.00 + R$ 458 food aid;
- municipal agent: R$ 2,100.00 + R$ 458 food aid;

What is the programmatic content for the IBGE 2022 contest?
Candidates who wish to obtain a good placement in the competition must already study the syllabus indicated.
The census taker's test will be divided as follows:
The Objective Test will consist of 50 (fifty) multiple choice questions, numbered sequentially, with 05 (five) alternatives and only one correct answer.
Each multiple-choice question will be worth 1 (one) point, with 50 (fifty) points being the maximum score obtained in the Objective Test.
The questions of the Objective Test will be prepared based on the syllabus contained in Annex III of the Announcement.
How to register for the IBGE 2022 contest?
To register, interested parties must apply on the FGV (Getulio Vargas Foundation) website, which is responsible for organizing the contest.
The application deadline is January 21, 2022.
The registration fee will be R$57.50 (census takers) or R$60.50 (agents), and can be paid until January 25, 2022.
The contest test will be objective, and will be held on April 10, in the morning for census takers and in the afternoon for agents.
